Introduction

This is my revisiting of Alaska from 2012 visiting. I spent total 9 days with a photographer in the northern area of Alaska around Labor day. The route was Anchorage -> Valdez -> Denali National Park -> Anchorage. We also spent one day visited the northernmost town Barrow.

Overall, this trip was great with most days were sunny. We saw beautiful fall foliages along the way.

Glenn Highway

Alaska route 1 is truthfully a scenic highway. The section between Palmer and Glennallen is also called Glenn Hwy. Along the way, Matanuska glacier is one of the star scenes.
