All birds here are a broad type called heron. In Noetheastern US, Great Blue Heron is most common, Great Egret comes next, wheile Snowy Egret and Green Heron are rare.
Part One: Great Blue Heron
They are common herons. Tehy typically stay motionlessly in marsh and shallow water area and patiently waite for the arriving of preys. They sudenly attack the preys with their long neck and sharp beak once the preys are under their reachable range. However, sometimes they also actively hunt small fishes by moving slowing and disturbing the water.
Part Two: Great Egret
The body of the Great Egret is similar to Great Blue Heron, with obvious white feathers and yellow beak, and black legs and feet.
Part Three: Snowy Egret
Snowy Egrets are smaller than Great Egret。Their bodies are all white, with black beak and legs and yellow feet.
Part Four: Green Heron and Black Crowned Night Heron
